Abandoned chapel somewhere in Belgium. This lovely chapel was part of a very old hospice built next to it. From what I know, the chapel has been built in 1624 but I don’t know when it’s been left abandoned. I had to get there very early in the morning because of the neighbourhood and though it’s not big, I had a great time exploring this place.

Urbex – Villa des lions
Abandoned villa somewhere in Belgium. I had already spotted this villa some time ago, but when I got there to explore it, it didn’t seemed to be the right time. I knew this villa under another name. When a friend of mine proposed me to get to a place called “Villa des lions“, I didn’t know it was the same place. And that day we did enter the house, though it took us a little while before getting the opportunity to get in thanks to the neighbourhood.
Urbex – Paternoster Farm
Abandoned farm somewhere in Belgium. This is a very little farm that probably once stood in the middle of the countryside but that is now on the middle of a street surrounded by freshly built modern houses. At first sight, one can doubt of the interest of the place, but once you’re inside it you can’t help but be amazed by this little hidden gem.
Urbex – Moulin A
Abandoned mill somewhere in Belgium. This mill has been built in the first quarter of the 20th century and seems to have been left abandoned for some years already. It is a huge building. A big part of the building is empty, probably the part where the flour was stored. But there were still a lot of things to see !
Exhibition: Ecaussines, Cité d’arts
On the 27th and 28th september 2014, the city of Ecaussines will be holding the 19th edition of its artists’s route: Ecaussines, Cité d’arts. I’ll be part of it and will show some of my urban exploration works on this occasion.
Urbex – Vulcan’s Fire
Abandoned steel factory somewhere in Belgium. For this exploration, I had the chance to get the authorisation to visit and take pictures of this wonderful place before they demolish the place. I’m really thankful for this as urbexers have seldom this chance. And this was a fantastic exploration !
Urbex – Charbonnage de Forte-Taille
Abandoned coal mine somewhere in Belgium. The place was first used as a quarry during the 19th century before being exploited as a coal mine in 1910. This was on of the deepest european mine at the time. In 1935, the coal mine closed its doors and has been left abandoned since then.
Urbex – Alla Italia
Abandoned thermal institute somewhere in Belgium. I wouldn’t have called this place Alla Italia, but the urbex community loves to give strange nicknames to the abandoned places, so the guy who found that place called it Alla Italia. Probably due to the beautiful painted ceillings and the columns that somehow reminded him of the italian architecture.
Urbex – Manoir du Chasseur
Abandoned manor somewhere in Belgium. This beautiful manor is lost in a great park. I don’t know the reasons why it’s been abandoned, but it didn’t seem like it was so long ago. It is in an excellent condition, and though it is empty, it’s still a majestic place, with a very impressive staircase and also a little hidden surprise !
Urbex – Moulin B
Abandoned mill somewhere in Belgium. I found this old watermill with a friend of mine while driving through a little village. We came back a few days later to explore it and, though we didn’t know what we would find inside, we had very high expectations about it, and we haven’t been disappointed !
