Urbex – Grands Moulins de Paris

Abandoned industrial flour mill somewhere in France. This is a very impressive building built in the 20’s. This industrial flour mill has ceased its activities in 1989 and is now in a really bad state, making it a very dangerous place. On many levels the floor has collapsed leaving just a concrete skeleton. There are some rumours the place should be renovated, but who knows when…

I really enjoyed this place. I wasn’t expecting much of it as I was aware that it was very damaged, but as I was in the area, I decided to go check it out. This place is very impressive both by its architecture and by its size, and the day I visited it, I was lucky enough to have the nice winter sun shining on it and bringing back a bit of majesty on this place. Some levels are almost unreachable unless you’re not afraid of falling and breaking your neck. Next to the main building are gigantic silos, and one can’t help to feel like being in some religious place when walking in the building under these silos…
