This defensive system has been reused by the Germans at the end of war, and now most of it is left abandoned except for a few places that are managed by local historical associations. The blockhaus visible in this gallery are located deep in a french forest. This was an interesting exploration as the blockhaus are quite well preserved and have not really been vandalised. Some of them were hard to spot because of the abundant vegetation covering them. There was no fort in the sector that I went to visit, but it gave me the envy to locate and explore the old forts…
