Urbex – Maison Ming

Abandoned house somewhere in Belgium. I know absolutely nothing about this house. I found this one on my way for another urbex journey, so I had to get there and discover what secrets it could hide…

There aren’t many ways to find abandoned places, and just driving and looking around is a great way to find them, and this is what happened with this house. When I saw it I immediately thought it was abandoned by looking at the vegetation around the house, though it seemed to be in a quite good condition. After some hesitations, I decided to get in. At first, I was not sure the place would be interesting, there were already holes in the roof of the annex and there was plenty of humidity. But a few rooms further, I discovered the living room which was totally untouched. It was stinking inside, but everything was there, ready to welcome the owner of the house: the table, the chairs, the pictures on the wall,… The rooms on the first floor were also filled with a lot of stuff: beds, chairs, books, but also with a lot of boxes which didn’t eased my life while taking pictures. From a poster thrown on the floor, I could read that the house had been in public sale more than a year ago, but I don’t know if it’s been sold or not. It doesn’t seems like the renovation of it is starting soon, though. It looks like this old house will slowly be decaying on its own, as usual…
