Abandoned brewery somewhere in Belgium. Unfortunately, there was not much to see. This old brewery is now the playground of air soft players. At a time I think it was in the process of being renovated, but it’s seems to be stopped right now.

Urbex – PRB
This is an abandoned powder and ammunition factory somewhere in Belgium. The site was really huge. There were some buildings with not much left in it, but in the woods surrounding the buildings, which are parts of the site, there were still places were I guess they were doing tests.
Urbex – Charbonnage du Hasard
This is a very old abandoned coal mine. It is particularly interesting, first for the architecture of the buildings, which looks like a castle, but mostly because it is a complete coal mine, every buildings are still standing, the showers, the offices, the technical buildings,… There are also a lot of relics to be found there like miner shoes and miner jackets, respirator, mine wagon,… All in all a very nice place, als very well known in the urban exploration community, even though it’s been vandalized.
Urbex – Mondi Packaging
This is an abandoned factory of an international paper and packaging company. Pictures of this set shows only the main building, which is a beautiful one. There were other warehouse around it but they were of little interest. Now all the warehouse have been demolished, and I don’t know what they’ll do with the main building. I don’t think they’ll demolish it, as it stands alone among the ruins of the warehouses for a few weeks now. I guess they would have demolished it sooner if that’s what their intention was…
Urbex – Chateau Amon Re
The “Chateau Amon Re” is also a well known place in the urban exploration community. It is a beautiful castle in a very good state. There are absolutely no trace of vandalism (at least when I went there…). It’s been classified as a historic place, probably due to its architecture. I don’t know what are the plans for it, but when I explored it, it was of course still abandoned, and with no trace of renovation for the near future. Its nickname “Amon Re” comes from a room in the castle where the walls are covered with egyptians drawings.
Urbex – Chateau Marteau
This is an abandoned castle somewhere in Belgium. I think that it’s been used as an hotel or as a holiday colony at a certain time. The castle in itself is in a a quite bad state and has been heavily vandalized.
Urbex – Charbonnage HP
This is an abandoned coal mine somewhere in Belgium. This site closed its doors in 1976. The buidings are in a really bad state. This is very sad as the architecture of the buildings was quite particular. Of the few buildings still standing on the site, we can note the offices and the shower buildings. There are also two little buildings further in the site.
Urbex – SCPA
This is an abandoned laboratory of research in agricultural physics and chemistry. The buildings are in a quite good state and it was a very interesting exploration mostly because the laboratories where in a very good state with lots of chemical stuff in it.
Urbex – Eurofonderie
This factory produced pieces for agricultural equipment. It was then reconverted in producing auto parts, but in 1994, it closed its doors. It is since left abandoned and is the playground of soft air players and street artists. Part of the factory has burned a few years ago. Its fate is still uncertain.
Urbex – Depot SNCB Monceau
This is an old depot of the belgian rail company (SNCB). It was used as a locomotive graveyard. Inside the depot and on the railway tracks in front of it, one could find a lot of old locomotives. I went back there recently, the depot is for sale now, and all the old beautiful locomotives have disappeared. There just stood two locomotives on which it was written “sold”. I guess they sold it for the steel…
